Arrival and Departure in Entebbe / Kampala.

The 6 days Gorilla and Wildlife Safari tour takes you both to Uganda’s Bwindi Impenetrable & Queen Elizabeth National Park. In Bwindi you will encounter magnificent mountain gorillas in their natural habitat. In Queen Elizabeth National Park you will enjoy extensive game drives in the morning and evening to get the full experience. You will see a broad range of Uganda’s wildlife such as elephants, lions, warthogs, crocodiles, hippos, giraffes, buffaloes, mountain gorillas, and more in their natural habitat. A great combination of game drives to see Africa's most famous wildlife and meet Uganda's infamous mountain gorillas.

Day 1: Arrival and transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park

Welcome to the Pearl of Africa! The airport in Entebbe will be your arrival destination. Our professional tour guide will welcome you and give a brief overview of the 6 days ahead. You will proceed to Queen Elizabeth National Park for an evening game drive in the park. Queen Elizabeth National Park is Uganda's best place to see lions, including Tree Climbing lions, making it an ideal safari location.

Among its many diverse habitats are lakes, savannah grasslands, forests, and wetlands that serve as home to the largest variety of large mammals. Already your first day will be full of natural wildlife as you encounter elephants, buffaloes, warthogs, and birds. We recommend arriving the day before so that you can do some sightseeing in Kampala and Entebbe before transferring to Queen Elizabeth National Park. We are happy to assist with any planning.

Day 2: Arrival and transfer to Murchison Falls

After a relaxed breakfast, take a game drive in Queen Elizabeth to see lions, elephants, buffaloes, giraffes, warthogs, and birds. In the afternoon, you will have lunch and then proceed to Lake Katwe. Throughout Uganda and the East African region, the lake has been producing high-quality salt for many years and is well known for its salt production.

Located northeast of Lake Edward and southeast of Lake George, Lake Katwe is located within an explosion crater within a formerly active volcanic area. Optionally you can also take another game drive in Queen Elizabeth National Park.

Day 3: Chimpanzee Trekking in Kibale National Park – Afternoon Boat Cruise

Drive to Kibale National Park in the morning for a chimpanzee tracking experience. Observe the man’s closest relatives in the wild and watch them as they play, swing on tree branches, and fight for food. Africa's Kibale National Forest has one of the highest concentrations and diversity of primates. This region is home to a large population of endangered chimpanzees, the red colobus monkey (endangered), and the rare L'Hoest's monkey, making it an excellent location for chimpanzee trekking safaris.

In the afternoon, you will take a boat cruise along the Kazinga Channel, a wide, 32-kilometre-long natural channel that links Lake Edward and Lake George, and is a dominant feature of Queen Elizabeth National Park. The channel attracts various animals and birds, with one of the world's largest concentration of hippos and numerous Nile crocodiles. At a lucky moment, some animals will be found drinking water, taking a bath, and or even hunting.

Accommodation: Pumba Safari Cottages

Day 4:  Drive to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park – Community Walk

Before that breakfast is served early in the morning, and then you will proceed to Bwindi - Mgahinga conservation area where half of the world's 800 remaining mountain gorillas live. A community walk will take place in the evening where you will interact with locals after you check into your lodge for lunch.

For the early birds, another morning game drive is an option. Let's hunt for the most impressive pictures of the sun rising on a safari.

Day 5: Gorilla Trekking Uganda in Bwindi – Transfer to Lake Bunyonyi

Big day ahead. You will finally meet the magnificent gorillas. Breakfast is served before you transfer to the infamous Bwindi forest, where you will gather with a tiny group of like-minded adventurers, for a briefing before your unforgettable Gorilla trekking in Uganda starts. Bring a packed lunch, hiking shoes, a camera, a raincoat, and your camera to the park headquarters. Once your ranger guide has briefed you, you will begin trekking the mountain gorillas through the ancient Bwindi Impenetrable Forest in Uganda, which typically takes a couple of hours depending on the location of the mountain gorillas.

You will spend one full hour observing these magnificent animals in their natural habitat. This once-in-a-lifetime experience will put a smile on your face for the rest of the tour. After the gorilla trekking, you will transfer to Lake Bunyonyi.

Green and lush terraced hills surround the lake, punctuated by a variety of over 200 bird species. Birds of migratory origin as well as water birds live at the park. Bird enthusiasts will find it an ideal place to watch birds. The Nyombi swamp is home to a variety of assorted birds.
